The following are the results based on the average scores provided by the jurors of the 2018 Chelsea International Photography Competitions.

J. Paul Getty Museum
Martineau is the author of over a dozen books and articles. His most recent books include: Icons of Style: A Century of Fashion Photography (2018), Robert Mapplethorpe: The Photographs (2016), The Thrill of the Chase: The Wagstaff Collection of Photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum (2016), Minor White: Manifestations of the Spirit (2014), and The Nude in Photography (2014).
The Photographers’ Gallery
Karen McQuaid is Senior Curator at The Photographers’ Gallery, London and has been a curator there since 2009. Prior to this post, she worked on the talks and events programme at the gallery. McQuaid is also a regular contributor to international arts publications as well as a guest lecturer and active organizer of artist projects.
She has curated exhibitions at The Moscow House of Photography and the National Gallery of Kosovo.
McQuaid’s exhibitions have included: ‘Jim Goldberg, Open See’, ‘Fiona Tan, Vox Populi London’, ‘Claire Aho, Studio Works’, ‘Andy Warhol, Photographs: 1976 – 1987’.
Photographer and Educator
Ave Pildas is a successful photographer and educator with a career spanning 50 years. As the former Art Director at Capital Records in Hollywood, he photographed album covers. It was this work that inspired him to launch a career as a freelance photographer and designer. He has exhibited his work throughout the USA and beyond as well as being featured in: The New York Times Magazine, ‘ZOOM’, ‘PHOTO’, ‘CAMERA’, ‘photographic’ and many publications both in the United States and abroad.

New York Art Competitions presents the following images from the 2018 selected artists of the Chelsea International Photography Competition. Note that the images shown below are representative of the selected photographers’ works, and do not necessarily reflect the final artwork which will be shown in the Chelsea International Photography Competition Exhibition.
Art submitted to the competition will be reviewed by a rotating panel of expert jurors, each representing a different field in the art world, ensuring a fair and balanced selection process.
