Enrique Pitarch, EL MECHÓN ROJO 
Patrick Charpenel, a philosopher by training, has worked intensively as a curator, highlighting the paradoxes and ambiguities of the contemporary world. Prior to his appointment at El Museo del Barrio, Charpenel served as Director of Mexico City’s Museo Jumex.
He has presented several exhibitions in various forums within and outside Mexico, including Franz West: Elefante Blanco at the Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporaneo, Mexico City; The Retrospective Gabriel Orozco at the Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes, Mexico City; the Art Public section of the 2009 and 2010 editions of Art Basel Miami Beach; 10.2 International Artists-in-Residence, 2010 edition, at Artpace San Antonio, Texas; and the Botanical Garden art project in Culiacan, Mexico.
He has published critical essays in specialized journals, and served as a Council Member for the Centre Pompidou-Latin America, Paris, France in 2010.
Andrea Giunta is an art historian and curator. She received her Ph.D. from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she is Professor of Latin American and International Contemporary Art. She is also Principal Researcher of the CONICET, National Research Council, Argentina and Visiting Scholar of CLAVIS, Center for Latin American Visual Studies, University of Texas at Austin. Recent books include Feminismo y arte latinoamericano. Historias de artistas que emanciparon el cuerpo (2018), Radical Women. Latin American Art, 1960-1985 (2017, together with Cecilia Fajardo-Hill), Verboamérica (2016, together with Agustín Pérez Rubio), and When Does Contemporary Art Begin? (2014).
Lourdes I. Ramos-Rivas is the former executive director and chief curator of of the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico in San Juan. Spending 12 years at the helm of this wonderful museum, her knowledge of fine art is something money can’t buy. It was her knowledge and expertise that landed her the post of President and CEO of the Museum of Latin American Art. She is the first Latina to ever hold this post.
Lourdes holds a master’s degree in fine arts from Illinois State University and a doctorate from the University of Barcelona, in Spain. She also works as an accreditation commissioner for the American Alliance of Museums.
Jaime Cerón’s work has been focused on five core areas: teaching, critique, curatorship, theoretic research and cultural management, which he has pursued concurrently and continuously since 1994. He taught at the art departments of the following universities: Jorge Tadeo Lozano, Los Andes, Javeriana and National, and at the Superior Academy of Arts of Bogota. In 1997, he linked up with the District Institute of Culture and Tourism where he was Manager of Visual Arts until July 2007. He worked as an art critic and independent curator until September 2010 and he has been Visual Arts Consultant for the Ministry of Culture since October of the same year. Since 2016 and until now he is the Deputy Director of the Arts, of the Arts Institute of Bogota -Idartes.
Marcela Guerrero is an assistant curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, where she recently curated the exhibition Pacha, Llaqta, Wasichay: Indigenous Space, Modern Architecture, New Art. From 2014 to 2017, she worked as curatorial fellow at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. Prior to joining the Hammer, she worked in the Latin American and Latino art department at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, where she served as research coordinator for the International Center for the Arts of the Americas. Guerrero’s writing has appeared in exhibition catalogues and in art journals such as caa.reviews, ArtNexus, Caribbean Intransit: The Arts Journal, Gulf Coast: A Journal of Literature and Fine Arts, Interventions: International Journal of Postcolonial Studies, and Diálogo. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Guerrero holds a PhD in art history from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
