Angel Bellaran
direttore delle operazioni del Master in Curatorial Practice Program,
Scuola di arti visive
New York
Angel Bellaran è curatore, attivista e direttore delle operazioni del programma Masters in Curatorial Practice presso la School of Visual Arts di New York. Previously, she served as the Director of the Gray Gallery at East Carolina University School of Art and Design. Proud to be a lead organizer of the global feminist art movement Nasty Women Exhibition, Bellaran?s work is inherently intersectional: influenced by a conflicting family legacy of social justice and accelerated immigrant assimilation with a specific focus on equity, diversity, inclusion initiatives, programs and activities, Bellaran collaborates with individuals and institutions to further promote awareness, accessibility and representation in the arts, utilizing experience-led art world education with an emphasis on curatorial studies.
Bellaran ha conseguito un Master of Arts in Curation, Visual Arts Practices presso l'Institute of Art, Design & Technology, Dublino, Irlanda (2010), e un Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art presso Mason Gross, il conservatorio di Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (2008). Bellaran, americana di razza mista di terza generazione, nata sulla costa del New Jersey e cresciuta tra la Carolina del Nord e la Carolina del Nord, attualmente risiede tra New York e il New Jersey con il suo cucciolo di salvataggio, Luna.
